Kubernetes quickly has become the de-facto standard to operate containerized applications at scale in the data-center.

The training Kubernetes Fundamentals CKA Extension covers the fundamentals needed to understand Kubernetes and get quickly up-to-speed. Learn how to manage the rich collection of Kubernetes objects and understand their interdependence.

This course, together with the course Kubernetes Fundamentals, is an excellent preparation for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam. The purpose of the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) program is to provide assurance that CKA’s have the skills, knowledge, and competency to perform the responsibilities of Kubernetes administrators.

Purpose:

  • This one day Kubernetes training is an extension of the Kubernetes Fundamentals training and covers the additional topics that are required for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam.

Course materials and lunches are included.

Doelgroep

The course is meant for system administrators who want to learn how to manage containers in a Kubernetes cluster and want to be prepared for the CKA exam.

Voorkennis

Knowledge of Kubernetes Fundamentals is required.

Duur

The course lasts one day.

Groepsgrootte

The size of the group is a maximum of twelve candidates.

Certificaat

After the course you can participate in the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam. The exam fees are not included.

During the course the following subjects will be discussed:

  • clusters: setup, boot and upgrade;
  • control plane: DNS configuration, etcd backup and restore;
  • logging: node-level logging, cluster-level logging;
  • resource management: node capacity, container requirements, resource quota;
  • security: setup kubeconfig with certificates.
